Pengembangan Multiliterasi yang Berperspektif Gender di Era MEA (Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN)

Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA), Jakarta Timur Indonesia kan menganjurkan satu seminar antarabangsa yang bertemakan Pengembangan Multiliterasi yang Berperspektif Gender di Era MEA (Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN) pada 27-28 April 2016. Sehubungan itu Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Ilmu Khas akan menghantar dua kertas kerja untuk dibentangkan dalam seminar tersebut. Butiran lengkap kertas kerja tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

Abstract

This study aims to review the use of mobile learning among student teachers of Pre Bachelor of Education (PPISMP) of Teacher Education Institute Special Knowledge Campus, Kuala Lumpur for June 2015 cohort.  The study was administered to over 136 student  teachers who are from the options of Special Education  in Hearing Disability , Special Education  in Visual Impairment,  Music Education, Art and Visual Education, Physical and Health Education, and English Language. The study was conducted in quantitative approach by using questionnaire as the main reference. The study also found that student teachers’ readiness towards the use of mobile learning for learning are at a high level with a mean of 3.93 ( sd = 1.26) .  Besides that the findings also indicate that the level of appropriateness in  the use of mobile learning to student teachers’  learning purposes are at the high level with the mean of 3.96 ( sd = .55 ).  Furthermore, this study also shows that the level of acceptance among the student teachers towards the use mobile learning for learning purposes are also are at a high level with a mean of 3.78 (sd = .54).  Thus, it is recommended that student  teachers use mobile learning in their learning.  The lecturers are also encouraged to give more assignments that require student teachers to find materials through mobile learning. All parties involved in the teaching and learning at the Teacher Education Institute should accept the culture of learning through mobile learning as a part of transformation of teaching nowadays.

Abstract


This case study was a qualitative study which aimed to identify the literacy of  public service values in school management.  Four school principals were selected in this study . This qualitative study used continuous comparative methods to analyze the data.Data was obtained by using in-depth interviews , direct observation and document analysis . The selection of the participants was based on sampling in order to gain a deepand detailed understanding of the studied phenomena.The process of analysis and data collection is carried out simultaneously and continuously until the data reaches the level of saturation . The data analysis was done by comparing and relating concepts and categories that emerged from the data collected by using continuous comparative methods to acquire the basic building model.Program NVivo 2.0 was applied to help in managing , analyzing and interpreting the data systematically and effectively . The study found that the school principals were aware of the importance of public service values in schools in enhancing the school organization  management.This can be demonstrated through the implementation of the program conducted with the teachers and students . The school principals were also aware of the importance of these values through the courses attended .  Besides that , the findings also showed that the school principals have also used this approach to maintain positive practices through giving awards to the members of the organization. In addition, this study also  found that the school principals have applied  the implementation of administrative procedures , desk files and circular.  School principals also used Fiedler’s contingency leadership ,  behaviour contingency and contingency routes behavior as well as cultivating value approach in inculcating these values.The findings also  showed  that school principals as leaders wererole models to their  subordinates in enhancing  the performance of the organization and use their positions to influence the employees to inculcate values .The findings revealed that cultivating value approach is important because it can influence on how people behave , give directions on behavior and provide guidelines for selecting the desired behavior . Finally, this study has produced a cultivating public service values approach and manual in the school organization management.
